After some careless play in the Mossbank defense, Bill McLain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mitchel Whitten. The Mossbank fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mitchel Whitten should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Oakville Oaks's goalkeeper Jean Gallegos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Parsons. Oakville Oaks's Jean Gallegos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Oakville Oaks from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Mossbank's Merlin Yates got a free kick in the 21st minute. Mitchel Whitten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill McLain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bill McLain during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Oakville Oaks got a freekick which was hit by Bill McLain. After having played for 27 minutes, Nathanial Auger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mossbank's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathanial Auger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Ashley Lazure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Oakville Oaks's Jean Gallegos got control of the ball when Tom Parsons tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jean Gallegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathanial Auger, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Bernard Roth put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mitchel Whitten. After a rather tough play, Mossbank's Dominique Grubb got a free kick in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathanial Auger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Mossbank's goal looked a bit too open when Bruce Guthrie came free, but Mitchel Whitten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jean Gallegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merlin Yates, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mitchel Whitten made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Bernard Roth sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Guidry in the 56th minute of play forced Mossbank's goalkeeper Mitchel Whitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Oakville Oaks's Bernard Roth slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mitchel Whitten. That made the score 0-3 after 58 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mossbank's zone, Bill McLain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitchel Whitten came out of the goal and Bill McLain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Jerome Guidry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute of the match, Bernard Roth tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mitchel Whitten saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bruce Guthrie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchel Whitten having to interfere. Merlin Yates's late challenge caught a Oakville Oaks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Merlin Yates helped the player get up and apologised. Merlin Yates hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Bernard Roth came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Oakville Oaks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Roth couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Edmund Crawford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Roth received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mitchel Whitten came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernard Roth slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 76th minute. Bernard Roth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Mitchel Whitten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Oakville Oaks booed when Mossbank was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Crawford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruce Guthrie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Oakville Oaks left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mossbank.
