Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Darrell Hutton made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in McGillivray FC's zone, Merlin Yates stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Fortier came out of the goal and Merlin Yates tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmund Crawford struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Emil Fortier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mossbank. Tommie Bragg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Emil Fortier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathanial Auger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gratien Heath fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored McGillivray FC's protests and gave Gratien Heath a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes McGillivray FC got a freekick which was hit by Gratien Heath. Mitchel Whitten was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Darrell Hutton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darrell Hutton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Mossbank's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cameron Langelier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Darrell Hutton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrell Hutton in the 28th minute of play forced Mossbank's goalkeeper Mitchel Whitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cameron Langelier sped through Mossbank's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mitchel Whitten. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gratien Heath in the 34th minute of play forced Mossbank's goalkeeper Mitchel Whitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute of the game, Cory Lagacé landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Tommie Bragg charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommie Bragg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tommie Bragg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Nathanial Auger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Fortier having to interfere. Emil Fortier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathanial Auger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tom Parsons struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Emil Fortier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mossbank. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nathanial Auger made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Nathanial Auger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Fortier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cameron Langelier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mitchel Whitten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. If Tom Parsons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Emil Fortier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tom Parsons's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Fortier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. If Nathanial Auger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Burton Wilcox fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored McGillivray FC's protests and gave Burton Wilcox a yellow card for diving instead. Burton Wilcox kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Cameron Langelier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 88 minutes of play, Mossbank's Tom Parsons made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Fortier was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the match, McGillivray FC's Burton Wilcox sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mitchel Whitten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mossbank's Mitchel Whitten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cameron Langelier in the 95th minute of play. When Edmund Crawford fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mossbank's protests and gave Edmund Crawford a yellow card for diving instead. The McGillivray FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
