Romain Buckner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Roth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Bernard Roth put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Romain Buckner. Bernard Roth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Romain Buckner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernard Roth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 minutes of play, Oakville Oaks's Bruce Guthrie made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romain Buckner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernard Roth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romain Buckner having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Florencio Dawson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Guthrie in the 35th minute of play forced Mehan AFC's goalkeeper Romain Buckner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Clark McCracken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romain Buckner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 41 minutes, Bill McLain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakville Oaks's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bill McLain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernard Roth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Oakville Oaks were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernard Roth made a kick off. Jerome Guidry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bernard Roth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Bernard Roth fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bill McLain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Romain Buckner came out and tried to block the shot, but Bill McLain slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 58th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bernard Roth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oakville Oaks's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Roth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romain Buckner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oakville Oaks's Bill McLain got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Chas Hudson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Mehan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jess Wilson. If Bruce Guthrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Mehan AFC's goalkeeper Romain Buckner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clark McCracken. After a rather tough play, Mehan AFC's Chas Hudson got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Bernard Roth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Romain Buckner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Gallegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Stacy, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bertram Zepeda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Gallegos having to interfere.
