Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Normetal's Ralph Leonard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Haywood Payton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wyatt Boisvert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waylon Numbers went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Wyatt Boisvert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shaun McLeod in the 22nd minute of the match. Calmar FC's Waylon Numbers got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Normetal got a freekick which was hit by Thanh Parnell. In the 32nd match minute, Normetal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vance Farrar to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Calmar FC's Angel Lambert broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Ralph Leonard got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Normetal booed when Calmar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvester Tilley didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Haywood Payton came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Normetal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haywood Payton couldn't finish the play. If Waylon Numbers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaun McLeod fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wyatt Boisvert having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Normetal's goalkeeper Wyatt Boisvert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 46 minutes into the match, Normetal's Haywood Payton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brendan Thompson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wyatt Boisvert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun McLeod, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shaun McLeod was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Waylon Numbers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calmar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Waylon Numbers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wyatt Boisvert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brendan Thompson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Haywood Payton's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Wyatt Boisvert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun McLeod, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waylon Numbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Wyatt Boisvert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Haywood Payton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Normetal's supporters rose to their feet, but Haywood Payton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendan Thompson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wyatt Boisvert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Waylon Numbers in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Calmar FC's Sylvester Tilley got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Leonard in the 80th minute of play forced Calmar FC's goalkeeper Brendan Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wyatt Boisvert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun McLeod, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Waylon Numbers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Wyatt Boisvert made a huge save. After having played for 86 minutes, Shaun McLeod managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calmar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shaun McLeod was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Waylon Numbers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Wyatt Boisvert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Efren Kay hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Waylon Numbers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calmar FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
