Richard Carmona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britt Duffy having to interfere. Britt Duffy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Carmona's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Dalton Graves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Herbert Thomason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Richard Carmona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Britt Duffy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Britt Duffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Houston Huggins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Houston Huggins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britt Duffy having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Albertville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Troy Hawk came free, but Herbert Thomason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Houston Huggins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Britt Duffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Houston Huggins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albertville FC's Herbert Thomason proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Albertville FC from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Malton's goal looked a bit too open when Houston Huggins came free, but Britt Duffy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Thomason made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalton Graves in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troy Hawk in the 37th minute of play forced Albertville FC's goalkeeper Herbert Thomason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 39th minute of the match Dario Plourde completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dario Plourde a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Albertville FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dario Plourde hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Dalton Graves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dalton Graves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Troy Hawk made the kick off in the second half. Herbert Thomason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Troy Hawk in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Houston Huggins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Richard Carmona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Carmona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Britt Duffy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th match minute, Malton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Schafer to maneuver through the defense. After 66 played minutes Albertville FC got a freekick which was hit by Colin Wheeler. Herbert Thomason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalton Graves in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Malton getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Phil Rivers hit a great ball. Richard Carmona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Albertville FC's zone, Dalton Graves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herbert Thomason came out of the goal and Dalton Graves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chase Stephens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Malton defense, Richard Carmona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Britt Duffy. The Malton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Britt Duffy should have stopped the shot. Houston Huggins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Britt Duffy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Britt Duffy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Carmona in the 95th minute.
