Dwayne Hawley's late challenge caught a Beiseker's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Newbrook AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Beiseker's goalkeeper Alfred Chambers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cecil Benavides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davis Rowell got free with Alfred Chambers in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Newbrook AFC's zone, Bobbie Blackmon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timothy Landers came out of the goal and Bobbie Blackmon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamar Dufresne in the 46th minute of play forced Newbrook AFC's goalkeeper Timothy Landers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, Margarito Brodeur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Timothy Landers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Davis Rowell to make the kick off. If İlkan Karlukhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, İlkan Karlukhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Beiseker's goal looked a bit too open when Cecil Benavides came free, but Alfred Chambers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timothy Landers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bobbie Blackmon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Newbrook AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
