With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lamar Fuentes in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elmer Bragg saved Burr AFC from getting behind. 12 minutes into the game, Burr AFC's Todd Carrillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thurman Hood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Burr AFC's Elmer Bragg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Burr AFC from getting a goal against them. If Lamar Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thurman Hood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleo Stein in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Burr AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Buford Messer hit a great ball. Jules Flaherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Elmer Bragg made a huge save. Jules Flahertys short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Elmer Bragg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The corner led Koartac AFC's Sammie Beck to fire away a dangerous shot which Elmer Bragg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Lamar Fuentes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Todd Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thurman Hood having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleo Stein to strike the kick off in the second half. Burr AFC's Lavern Rubin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleo Stein was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Koartac AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Brent Magee hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Joachim Hilliard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thurman Hood skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Burr AFC booed when Koartac AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Potvin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Todd Carrillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Koartac AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Cleo Stein scored to the left of an out of position Thurman Hood, making the score, 0-4. Édouard Bowen charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Édouard Bowen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Koartac AFC's Édouard Bowen got a free kick in the 86th minute. Lamar Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Elmer Bragg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elmer Bragg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jules Flaherty's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Burr AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
