After a defensive mix-up in Dapp AFC's zone, Richard Dent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jae Dumas came out of the goal and Richard Dent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dennis Merchant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jae Dumas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Merchant in the 12th minute of play forced Dapp AFC's goalkeeper Jae Dumas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leland Lentz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Royal Bouchard in the 14th minute. Jae Dumas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Merchant, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. If Pablo Cutler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dyment getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jefferson Hull hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Dyment's goal looked a bit too open when Royal Bouchard came free, but Leland Lentz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Cutler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Leland Lentz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Pablo Cutler put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leland Lentz. If Royal Bouchard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Merchant to make the kick off. Leland Lentz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Cutler, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Pablo Cutler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Lentz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leland Lentz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dapp AFC's Royal Bouchard shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Dyment's Leland Lentz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royal Bouchard in the 60th minute of play. Dapp AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dyment the free kick. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 78th minute Royal Bouchard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leland Lentz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Nicholas Smiley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jae Dumas was a little too slow when Dennis Merchant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-1. After having played for 86 minutes, Clint Sneed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dapp AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clint Sneed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Terence Chaney's late challenge caught a Dapp AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Terence Chaney helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dapp AFC booed when Dyment was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terence Chaney didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pablo Cutler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leland Lentz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Cutler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pablo Cutler came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Dapp AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pablo Cutler couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that Dapp AFC were the better team. Dapp AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
