The McClintock fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. McClintock's Kraig Pace played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldo Simms in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Renews's Waldo Simms got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Pascal Lockhart's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chi Coffman was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Jamel Burke struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Chi Coffman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for McClintock. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Shane Duff fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renews's protests and gave Shane Duff a yellow card for diving instead. Shane Duff kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. McClintock's Edmund Wu got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Renews's zone, Edmund Wu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chi Coffman came out of the goal and Edmund Wu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. McClintock's Kraig Pace proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save McClintock from getting a goal against them. After having played for 74 minutes, Pascal Lockhart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. McClintock's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Lockhart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chi Coffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascal Lockhart, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Danial McKay struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Kraig Pace didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renews. The referee ignored Renews's protests and gave Rufus Hastings a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Renews got a freekick which was hit by Rufus Hastings. Edmund Wu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chi Coffman having to interfere. Kraig Pace made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danial McKay in the 90th minute. Chi Coffman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Wu in the 93rd minute of play. Renews's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
