Sydney Story went to the wrong direction when Urbain Bolden was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Vandry AFC's Shannon Kirkpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney Story made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Haywood in the 97th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Arnaud Haywood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mooyie AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Vandry AFC having more of the ball for most of the match.
