Spectators: 6717 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kim Charlesbois took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Lincoln Dykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Hartland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Echeverri came free, but Frédéric Witherspoon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Hartland AFC's Kim Charlesbois dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Scott Albert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sydney Story. Mooyie AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mooyie AFC's Alberto Fagan got a free kick in the 20th minute. Darren McMahon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25thth minute of the game Cesaire Leach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mooyie AFC's Sydney Story was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Reynaldo Echeverri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lincoln Dykes's late challenge caught a Mooyie AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lincoln Dykes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Lincoln Dykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Alfonzo Melendez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hartland AFC and the Mooyie AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hartland AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alfonzo Melendez hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the game, Hartland AFC's Darren McMahon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sydney Story made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darren McMahon got free with Sydney Story in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Echeverri made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Hartland AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Javier Crandall fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Frédéric Witherspoon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Echeverri in the 57th minute of play. Sydney Story stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darren McMahon's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. When Mooyie AFC's Reynaldo Echeverri in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hartland AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 65 minutes into the game, Kim Charlesbois cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sydney Story was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Noe Maher, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 75 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Echeverri recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Frédéric Witherspoon. Reynaldo Echeverri showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. In the 78th minute Kim Charlesbois shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Story saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Echeverri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frédéric Witherspoon having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Cesaire Leach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Hartland AFC's Frédéric Witherspoon got control of the ball when Javier Crandall tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mooyie AFC's zone, Kim Charlesbois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sydney Story came out of the goal and Kim Charlesbois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kim Charlesbois came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Hartland AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Charlesbois couldn't finish the play.
