Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) Kagawong's Tory Madison started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Whycocomagh AFC's Eddie Lereau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Lester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tory Madison recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lenny Henderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hugh Lange made a huge save. Trent Tanner hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Whycocomagh AFC's Clyde Champion in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kagawong's goalie prevented a goal. Trent Tanner hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Whycocomagh AFC's zone, Lenny Henderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugh Lange came out of the goal and Lenny Henderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute of the match, Tory Madison tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugh Lange saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Whycocomagh AFC's Hugh Lange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Whycocomagh AFC from getting a goal against them. Arturo Lester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrose Valle in the 38th minute of play. Tory Madison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hugh Lange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute Ambrose Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo Lester saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kagawong's goalkeeper Arturo Lester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

A collision led to Kagawong getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Trent Tanner hit a great ball. Ambrose Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Lester having to interfere. Arturo Lester didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clyde Champion went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Tory Madison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hugh Lange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddie Lereau kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Tory Madison came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Kagawong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tory Madison couldn't finish the play. Lenny Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hugh Lange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Kagawong booed when Whycocomagh AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Lereau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Kagawong's Tory Madison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugh Lange narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kagawong's Arturo Lester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrose Valle in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kagawong's Scotty Pendleton got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Herbert Roark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Tory Madison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tory Madison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Kagawong's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clyde Champion fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
