Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Jellicoe AFC's Jospeh Flynn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Javier Crandall came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Mooyie AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Crandall couldn't finish the play. If Javier Crandall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sydney Story made an important save on a dangerous shot by Logan Lyon in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute Jospeh Flynn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Story saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes Mooyie AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aron Caouette. Jospeh Flynn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jospeh Flynn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Story showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Hanks in the 31st minute of the match. Logan Lyon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jasper Lacy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jellicoe AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasper Lacy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Story breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jellicoe AFC's Samuel Hanks got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney Story made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Jasper Lacy sent off a good shot on target. Reynaldo Echeverri struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dustin Parrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mooyie AFC. Javier Crandall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dustin Parrot having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Reynaldo Echeverri to make the kick off. Javier Crandall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dustin Parrot having to make a save. 70 minutes into the game, Jospeh Flynn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sydney Story was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the match, Jellicoe AFC's Jospeh Flynn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Story narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jospeh Flynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Mooyie AFC's Noe Maher seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Noe Maher the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mooyie AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Noe Maher had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 77 minutes into the game, one of Mooyie AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Jellicoe AFC. Nicolas Bonilla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sydney Story. 2-1. 83 minutes into the game, Dee Grove was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jellicoe AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mooyie AFC the free kick. A collision led to Jellicoe AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Dee Grove hit a great ball. Sydney Story took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jospeh Flynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javier Crandall's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dustin Parrot firmly grabbed it by the left post. Logan Lyon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sydney Story tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mooyie AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jellicoe AFC.
