Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the match, Warren's goal looked a bit too open when Jarrod Riel came free, but Lamont Weston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilbert Madsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarrod Riel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lamont Weston came out and tried to block the shot, but Jarrod Riel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 13th minute. Lamont Weston was a little too slow when Rodger McKinnon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. Rodger McKinnon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamont Weston having to interfere. Wilbert Madsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tyson Munoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Whitney's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbert Madsen came free, but Tyson Munoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Whitney getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kirby Kearns hit a great ball. Whitney were furious when Humberto Tucker was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Whitney fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Wilbert Madsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyson Munoz having to interfere. If Rodger McKinnon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodger McKinnon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilbert Madsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tyson Munoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilbert Madsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodger McKinnon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdul Grignon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdul Grignon struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Tyson Munoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warren. Rodger McKinnon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lamont Weston having to make a save. After 69 minutes, Derick Lavoie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Whitney and the Warren players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rodger McKinnon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Lamont Weston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isaias Gareau fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Whitney's protests and gave Isaias Gareau a yellow card for diving instead. 88 minutes into the game, one of Whitney:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rodger McKinnon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lamont Weston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Whitney's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
