In the 7th minute Haywood Greer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Ouellet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes of play, Letite's Alphonse Harper made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hayden Ouellet was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th match minute, Musquodoboit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dion Faust to maneuver through the defense. When Shelton Rowley fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Musquodoboit FC's protests and gave Shelton Rowley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th minute, Shelton Rowley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes Musquodoboit FC got a freekick which was hit by Rickey Ashby. Musquodoboit FC's Hayden Ouellet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alphonse Harper in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Musquodoboit FC's zone, Benjamin Blais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hayden Ouellet came out of the goal and Benjamin Blais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes, Minh Allred mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Musquodoboit FC and the Letite players grew even worse after the yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Musquodoboit FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Musquodoboit FC:s Hayden Ouellet showed great skill when he stopped Jamie Busque:s penalty. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Musquodoboit FC's goalkeeper Hayden Ouellet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Letite's Benjamin Blais got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Blaise John's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bernard Hillman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Blaise John received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Bernard Hillman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Corin Lockwood stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernard Hillman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corin Lockwood, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nick Yoder was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Corin Lockwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphonse Harper in the 89th minute of play forced Musquodoboit FC's goalkeeper Hayden Ouellet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Alphonse Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Letite's supporters rose to their feet, but Alphonse Harper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hayden Ouellet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Letite players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
