Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saul Deschenes started the match with the kick off. Numbers Platt made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Caleb Bird sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Toby Jewell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Numbers Platt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Saul Deschenes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaime Skinner might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Casgrain. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Skinner ran back to his position shaking his head. Caleb Bird recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute Saul Deschenes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Numbers Platt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Billy Casgrain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Bingham in the 37th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Caleb Bird managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Verwood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caleb Bird was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Skinner was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Caleb Bird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Deschenes in the 57th minute of play forced Bentley FC's goalkeeper Numbers Platt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Bentley FC got a freekick which was hit by Dwight Ackerman. Saul Deschenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caleb Bird sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billy Casgrain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Skinner in the 70th minute. Saul Deschenes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Numbers Platt having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Verwood's goalkeeper Billy Casgrain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jaime Skinner did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Billy Casgrain 77 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Verwood's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Skinner came free, but Billy Casgrain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Skinner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Casgrain having to interfere. Billy Casgrain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddy Bingham in the 87th minute. If Eddy Bingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raul Fletcher hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match Freddy Knox sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Numbers Platt skillfully saved the ball. The Bentley FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Verwood from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
