Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tanner Glass made the kick off which started today's match. Byron Despins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyrell Redding having to make a save. In the 9th minute of the match, Ricardo Gousse tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tyrell Redding saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tanner Glass in the 10th minute of play forced Champcoeur's goalkeeper Barney Garreau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyrell Redding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Gousse in the 15th minute of the match. Tyrell Redding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Gousse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tanner Glass sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22ndth minute of the game Ricardo Gousse who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iona's Tyrell Redding was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 23 played minutes Iona got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Chester. Byron Despins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Iona's Tyrell Redding got control of the ball when Byron Despins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tyrell Redding made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Byron Despins sent off a good shot on target. Iona's Tyrell Redding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Gousse in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Champcoeur's zone, Tanner Glass stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Garreau came out of the goal and Tanner Glass tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jules Desjardins fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Champcoeur's protests and gave Jules Desjardins a yellow card for diving instead. Jules Desjardins kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tanner Glass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Garreau having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Champcoeur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iona:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Iona. Hunter Stiles stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Barney Garreau. 0-1. Tyrell Redding made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Byron Despins sent off a good shot on target. The Champcoeur players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Iona were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Byron Despins made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Byron Despins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Champcoeur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Byron Despins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Champcoeur's goalkeeper Barney Garreau, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Byron Despins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrell Redding having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jules Desjardins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tyrell Redding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the game, Byron Despins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Champcoeur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iona the free kick. Champcoeur's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Carmichael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrell Redding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fausto Carmichael struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Tyrell Redding didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Champcoeur. 92 minutes into the match, Champcoeur's Byron Despins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tyrell Redding narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Champcoeur manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Iona to win.
