Frances Fortune breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Taylor Jetté in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frances Fortune prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frances Fortune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Hawk in the 24th minute of the match. When Conrad Palacios fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Codroy's protests and gave Conrad Palacios a yellow card for diving instead. Conrad Palacios hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Frances Fortune stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernard Hawk's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Taylor Jetté fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frances Fortune having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francis Davila got free with Eldon McCarty in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sprague FC's Bernard Hawk in 34 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Frances Fortune guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 37th minute Bernard Hawk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frances Fortune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frances Fortune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Hawk, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Taylor Jetté's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frances Fortune was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Taylor Jetté fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frances Fortune having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Taylor Jetté to make the kick off. After 54 played minutes Codroy got a freekick which was hit by Arnaud Fay. Taylor Jetté was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 62 minutes into the match, Sprague FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Davila came free, but Eldon McCarty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eldon McCarty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Davila, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Miles Haines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eldon McCarty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
