Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Beaverdam AFC's zone, Raul Sheffield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Gaudreau came out of the goal and Raul Sheffield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Herb Ruel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lynn Rivas made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Herb Ruel sent off a good shot on target. After 21 minutes of play, Shaunavon AFC's Lynwood Bates made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stevie Gaudreau was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Sanders in the 24th minute of play forced Shaunavon AFC's goalkeeper Lynn Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Raul Sheffield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Lynwood Bates had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stevie Gaudreau. Beaverdam AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lynwood Bates was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Stevie Gaudreau came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Shaunavon AFC's Lynwood Bates. But to his dismay, Lynwood Bates quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Herb Ruels short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Lynn Rivas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Beaverdam AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Shaunavon AFC were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lynwood Bates was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Sheffield got free with Stevie Gaudreau in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raul Sheffield struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Stevie Gaudreau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shaunavon AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce Sanders in the 61st minute of play forced Shaunavon AFC's goalkeeper Lynn Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lynn Rivas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herb Ruel went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.
