Spectators: 6748 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1748, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salvatore Parham started the match with the kick off. 11 minutes into the game, Bruce Sanders lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Noel Trujillo. After a defensive mix-up in Lanoraie FC's zone, Bruce Sanders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Trujillo came out of the goal and Bruce Sanders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Echols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Gaudreau having to interfere. Stevie Gaudreau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvatore Parham's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 28 minutes, Justin Walter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beaverdam AFC and the Lanoraie FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Beaverdam AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Justin Walter hit a great ball. Salvatore Parham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Floyd Avery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Lanoraie FC's goalkeeper Noel Trujillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herb Ruel. Stevie Gaudreau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Echols in the 41st minute of the match. Josiah Lépicier hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Beaverdam AFC's Stevie Gaudreau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Echols in the 43rd minute of play. In the 46th minute Bruce Sanders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Trujillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After having played for 57 minutes, Herb Ruel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beaverdam AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herb Ruel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 played minutes Beaverdam AFC got a freekick which was hit by Herb Ruel. Noel Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Sanders, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dick Villalobos during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beaverdam AFC's Dick Villalobos got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 72nd minute of the match, Salvatore Parham tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stevie Gaudreau saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Herb Ruel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noel Trujillo having to interfere. Sylvestre Thibodeau hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Fausto Echols struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Stevie Gaudreau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanoraie FC. Bruce Sanders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Salvatore Parham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Noel Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce Sanders, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When Salvatore Parham came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Lanoraie FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvatore Parham couldn't finish the play. Lanoraie FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
