Val Hickman kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand Garza in the 13th minute of play forced Shaunavon AFC's goalkeeper Lynn Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Raul Sheffield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Shaunavon AFC booed when Varennes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Desilets didn't get a good kick on the ball. Logan Lespérance struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Lynn Rivas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varennes AFC. 22 minutes into the match, Shaunavon AFC's Raul Sheffield sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robert Hatch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harrison Barnett hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Lynwood Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Shaunavon AFC's Lynwood Bates dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. If Logan Lespérance had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasey Espinoza was the one to do the kick off. Raul Sheffield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Shaunavon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kasey Espinoza came free, but Lynn Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shaunavon AFC's goalkeeper Lynn Rivas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Varennes AFC defense, Raul Sheffield kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Hatch. The Varennes AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Hatch should have stopped the shot. In the 75thth minute of the game Constantin Labossière who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varennes AFC's Robert Hatch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute Lynwood Bates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Hatch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Colin Kilgore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Sheffield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Hatch having to interfere. When Colin Kilgore fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varennes AFC's protests and gave Colin Kilgore a yellow card for diving instead. Colin Kilgore hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lynwood Bates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Hatch having to interfere. Lynn Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Espinoza in the 91st minute of play. Robert Hatch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lynwood Bates in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raul Sheffield in the 94th minute of play forced Varennes AFC's goalkeeper Robert Hatch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaunavon AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
