An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Simpson in the 5th minute of play forced Lloydminster FC's goalkeeper Lance Duplessis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eloy Simpson came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bruno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Simpson couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute, Absolon Velazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Joseph Ivey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute Rene Witherspoon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 23 minutes into the game, Fidel Reese was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bruno's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lloydminster FC the free kick. In the 24th match minute, Bruno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Reese to maneuver through the defense. Eloy Simpson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Lance Duplessis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Neal Benjamin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, one of Lloydminster FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lloydminster FC. The referee gave Bruno a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lenard Compton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lloydminster FC's Lance Duplessis. 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eloy Simpson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Garth Rainey notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lloydminster FC's Lance Duplessis. Lance Duplessis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 56 played minutes Bruno got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Wiley. Garth Rainey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neal Benjamin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gayle Olson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Lance Duplessis managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Bruno's Garth Rainey fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 66 played minutes Lloydminster FC got a freekick which was hit by Jayson Maher. When Bruno's Garth Rainey in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gayle Olson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neal Benjamin in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Lloydminster FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Neal Benjamin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Lloydminster FC's Ronnie Roman got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bruno had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
