After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Emanuel Ljungberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edmonton's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Ljungberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvin Bonds breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valentin Lussier kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alvin Bonds. Baptiste Poirier scored 0-5 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvin Bonds, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Lane Echeverri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmonton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
