Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederick Whitley in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shelton Ménard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignacio Escobedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shelton Ménard having to interfere. Joshua Frank hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Shawenegan FC's Porter McCord tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Shelton Ménard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Escobedo in the 12th minute of the match. If Ignacio Escobedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignacio Escobedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shelton Ménard having to interfere. Noah Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sanford Gauthier, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sanford Gauthier in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noah Rosa saved Elora AFC from getting behind. If Sanford Gauthier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Elora AFC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ignacio Escobedo hit a great ball. Stanton Loiseau in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Noah Rosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ignacio Escobedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shelton Ménard having to interfere. Carmine Dunham charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The goalkeeper, Noah Rosa, was totally fooled by Shawenegan FC's Porter McCord, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jacques Massey was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, one of Shawenegan FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shawenegan FC. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Elora AFC. Mervin Swenson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Shelton Ménard. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ignacio Escobedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elora AFC's Noah Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanton Loiseau in the 65th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Elora AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Stanton Loiseau came free, but Noah Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederick Whitley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Shelton Ménard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederick Whitley got free with Shelton Ménard in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noah Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanton Loiseau in the 83rd minute of the match. If Frederick Whitley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
