Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jayson Maher got the match started through his kick off. Lance Duplessis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felicien Castaneda's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Erasmo Shah took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lance Duplessis. Lance Duplessis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Lance Duplessis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felicien Castaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Minitonas FC's Papillion Seay got a free kick in the 14th minute. Johnie Cardona made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joachim Yates in the 15th minute. Geraldo Shook hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Joachim Yates sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Minitonas FC's Johnie Cardona didn't even have to move. If Felicien Castaneda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Shook in the 27th minute of play forced Lloydminster FC's goalkeeper Lance Duplessis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lance Duplessis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasmo Shah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Shah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Lance Duplessis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Jayson Maher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnie Cardona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felicien Castaneda might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Duplessis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felicien Castaneda ran back to his position shaking his head. Minitonas FC's attack was well implemented in the 39th minute, but when Erasmo Shah was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Lance Duplessis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Shah in the 41st minute of play. Rolf Ladner kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Shah stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lance Duplessis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felicien Castaneda in the 52nd minute. Rene Witherspoon kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Felicien Castaneda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Lance Duplessis made a huge save. Felicien Castaneda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lance Duplessis firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rene Witherspoon during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Lloydminster FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Witherspoon to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Lloydminster FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Shah came free, but Lance Duplessis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnie Cardona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neal Benjamin in the 63rd minute of the match. Felicien Castaneda who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Lance Duplessis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 72nd minute, Rolf Ladner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jayson Maher in the 73rd minute of play forced Minitonas FC's goalkeeper Johnie Cardona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Neal Benjamin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felicien Castaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Lance Duplessis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lloydminster FC's Jayson Maher got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Minitonas FC's Felicien Castaneda got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute Jayson Maher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnie Cardona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Minitonas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
