The referee showed Zachary Valentin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Naujat booed when Fingal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Valentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newton Shearer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrille Simmons having to interfere. Fingal's Cyrille Simmons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Chesnay in the 37th minute of play. Jérôme Shepard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humbert Starr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Naujat's goal looked a bit too open when Bart Ramos came free, but Jérôme Shepard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jérôme Shepard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Cyrille Simmons was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Newton Shearer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 49 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 55th minute, Bart Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Toney Hancock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Cyrille Simmons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Humbert Starr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jérôme Shepard having to interfere. Bart Ramos struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jérôme Shepard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fingal. Herman Paré got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Newton Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cyrille Simmons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Humbert Starr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fingal's supporters rose to their feet, but Humbert Starr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jérôme Shepard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cyrille Simmons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Chesnay in the 100th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Naujat fans cheered their team off the field, for while Fingal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
