Clair Melendez's shot from long distance in the 4th minute was not bad at all, but Lloydminster FC's Lance Duplessis knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. The supporters of Lloydminster FC booed when Fingal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Witherspoon charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Witherspoon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 24th match minute, Lloydminster FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Witherspoon to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Fingal's Clair Melendez broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fingal's zone, Neal Benjamin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cyrille Simmons came out of the goal and Neal Benjamin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Bart Ramos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lance Duplessis, 2-2. Rene Witherspoon hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Humbert Starrs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Lance Duplessis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Humbert Starr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humbert Starr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lance Duplessis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jayson Maher made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Fingal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanton Blake to maneuver through the defense. Fingal's Cyrille Simmons proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Fingal from getting a goal against them. Cyrille Simmons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jayson Maher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Duplessis having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lloydminster FC's goalkeeper Lance Duplessis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cyrille Simmons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jayson Maher, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Fingal getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Zachary Valentin hit a great ball. If Jayson Maher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Neal Benjamin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 80th minute, Jayson Maher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humbert Starr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Lance Duplessis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Witherspoon got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Rene Witherspoon hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lance Duplessis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humbert Starr in the 88th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Lloydminster FC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Mayberry. In the 91st minute Bart Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Duplessis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lance Duplessis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humbert Starr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lloydminster FC's Lance Duplessis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Ramos in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
