After a defensive mix-up in Lloydminster FC's zone, Enrique Chesnay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Duplessis came out of the goal and Enrique Chesnay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 6 minutes, Enrique Chesnay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naujat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrique Chesnay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Jayson Maher made a precise shot to the right of Jérôme Shepard. Naujat's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jérôme Shepard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jayson Maher, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Toney Hancock hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Naujat's zone, Neal Benjamin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jérôme Shepard came out of the goal and Neal Benjamin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enrique Chesnay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Duplessis having to interfere. Neal Benjamin struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jérôme Shepard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lloydminster FC. Lance Duplessis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Chesnay in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Lloydminster FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Chesnay came free, but Lance Duplessis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enrique Chesnay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Newton Shearers short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Lance Duplessis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jayson Maher made a kick off. With a little luck, Naujat's Jérôme Shepard got control of the ball when Neal Benjamin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Jayson Maher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neal Benjamin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jérôme Shepard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Naujat's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roderick Herrington in the 65th minute. With his leg Jérôme Shepard managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Lloydminster FC's Neal Benjamin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lance Duplessis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Newton Shearer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neal Benjamin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jérôme Shepard firmly grabbed it by the left post. Newton Shearer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance Duplessis having to interfere. After having played for 82 minutes, Enrique Chesnay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 88 played minutes Lloydminster FC got a freekick which was hit by Rene Witherspoon. 89 minutes in the game, Newton Shearer dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jérôme Shepard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neal Benjamin in the 93rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lloydminster FC's zone, Newton Shearer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance Duplessis came out of the goal and Newton Shearer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
