Jérôme Shepard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Brain Hamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naujat's goalkeeper Jérôme Shepard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Dillon Downs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. chelsea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dillon Downs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Neville Ashby came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neville Ashby couldn't finish the play. Brain Hamm might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jérôme Shepard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brain Hamm ran back to his position shaking his head. Brain Hamm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brain Hamm struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jérôme Shepard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for chelsea. If Dillon Downs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
