Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Ramiro Grubb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnny Epperson was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Weston Ervin notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Davidson FC's Esmé Britt. Esmé Britt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 27th minute, Ramiro Grubb fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Johnny Epperson, passed just outside the right post. In the 29th minute, Garth Bassett reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Johnny Epperson. The goal made the score 1-2. After having played for 34 minutes, Truman Lawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Truman Lawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esmé Britt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarrett Stoner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esmé Britt came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Hondo's Jarrett Stoner. But to his dismay, Jarrett Stoner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The supporters of Hondo booed when Davidson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harley Dykes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Cisneros during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johnny Cisneros hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Hondo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Truman Lawson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Truman Lawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esmé Britt having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Ramiro Grubb notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Hondo's Johnny Epperson. Johnny Epperson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Harley Dykes's late challenge caught a Hondo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harley Dykes helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Davidson FC got a freekick which was hit by Harley Dykes. 69 minutes into the match, Davidson FC's goalkeeper Esmé Britt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Weston Ervin. After 72 played minutes Hondo got a freekick which was hit by Jarrett Stoner. After having played for 73 minutes, Ramiro Grubb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Davidson FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro Grubb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Otto Gillespie kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Johnny Epperson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Bassett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Epperson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Grubb, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hondo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
