Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Clayton Boudreaux got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute, Truman Lawson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Grégoire Rosas. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 11th minute, Jarrett Stoner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Epperson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Beausoleil's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After 21 minutes, Truman Lawson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hondo and the Sandspit FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Truman Lawson kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Clayton Boudreaux charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clayton Boudreaux the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hondo booed when Sandspit FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clayton Boudreaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Truman Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandspit FC's Grégoire Rosas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Truman Lawson in the 26th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cortez Lemaître during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elias Mobley's late challenge caught a Sandspit FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Mobley helped the player get up and apologised. Elias Mobley kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Sandspit FC's Emery Orozco broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Sandspit FC's goalkeeper Grégoire Rosas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Weston Ervin. Truman Lawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Grégoire Rosas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weston Ervin in the 46th minute of the match. Weston Ervin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Grégoire Rosas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Truman Lawson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Sandspit FC's goal looked a bit too open when Truman Lawson came free, but Grégoire Rosas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hondo getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Weston Ervin hit a great ball. Grégoire Rosas came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Hondo's Truman Lawson. But to his dismay, Truman Lawson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 63rd match minute, Sandspit FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Romero to maneuver through the defense. Grégoire Rosas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Truman Lawson in the 66th minute of the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Weston Ervin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Weston Ervin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grégoire Rosas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Truman Lawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Weston Ervin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hondo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sandspit FC for a fine match.
