Spectators: 6734 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alphonso Dove started the match with the kick off. In the 5thth minute of the game Alphonso Dove who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hondo's Johnny Epperson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 6th match minute, Hondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Flores to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alphonso Dove in the 11th minute of play forced Hondo's goalkeeper Johnny Epperson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Hondo's goal looked a bit too open when Carmen Fagan came free, but Johnny Epperson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carmen Fagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hondo's Johnny Epperson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmen Fagan in the 21st minute of play. Jarrett Stoner hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gravenhurst's Drew Salinas tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Hondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Gibbons to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Weston Ervin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hondo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 36 minutes into the match, Gravenhurst's goal looked a bit too open when Truman Lawson came free, but Fritz Purvis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmen Fagan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Epperson having to interfere. Carmen Fagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Johnny Epperson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hondo's Jarrett Stoner got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Truman Lawson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fritz Purvis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Weston Ervin in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Alphonso Dove recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johnny Epperson. Alphonso Dove showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carmen Fagan got free with Johnny Epperson in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fritz Purvis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Truman Lawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fritz Purvis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Truman Lawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Alphonso Dove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Epperson having to interfere. Johnny Epperson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elmo Lake, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The penalty shot was made by Otto Gillespie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gravenhurst's Fritz Purvis. 2-1. 91 minutes into the match, Gravenhurst's goal looked a bit too open when Weston Ervin came free, but Fritz Purvis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Weston Ervin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fritz Purvis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fritz Purvis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Weston Ervin in the 98th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gravenhurst players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hondo.
