The mood of the audience was pleasant when Moises Patenaude made the kick off which started today's match. Millard Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th minute, Romeo Gauthier had to leave the field with a concussion. Neal Booth charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neal Booth the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alpha Pegasus getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Neal Booth hit a great ball. Trenton Mailloux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tommie Gougeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alpha Pegasus's Fernando Bass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Shipp in the 21st minute of play. Fernando Bass made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carroll Bonilla in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Niagara's Adam Shipp got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Niagara's goalkeeper Tommie Gougeon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Millard Campos. Moises Patenaude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tommie Gougeon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes of play, Niagara's Lawrence Lagueux made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Bass was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adam Shipp struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Fernando Bass didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niagara. After 34 played minutes Alpha Pegasus got a freekick which was hit by Neal Booth. With his leg Tommie Gougeon managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Alpha Pegasus's Moises Patenaude fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Millard Campos struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Tommie Gougeon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alpha Pegasus. If Trenton Mailloux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Shipp to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of Niagara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Niagara. The referee gave Alpha Pegasus a penalty, 52 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Millard Campos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Niagara's Tommie Gougeon. 2-1. Tommie Gougeon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Patenaude in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Millard Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Gougeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Niagara getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Carroll Bonilla hit a great ball. Tommie Gougeon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Patenaude went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 63 minutes, Bart Jefferson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niagara and the Alpha Pegasus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Niagara! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Alpha Pegasus. Millard Campos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommie Gougeon. 4-1. Adam Shipp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Fernando Bass tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Millard Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lawrence Lagueux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Fernando Bass made a huge save. Moises Patenaude recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alpha Pegasus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Lawrence Lagueux scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Bass, making the score, 4-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Shipp got free with Fernando Bass in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes Niagara got a freekick which was hit by Carroll Bonilla. Tommie Gougeon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Patenaude, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
