Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Forrest Guzman started the match with the kick off. When Boris Barrette fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hussar's protests and gave Boris Barrette a yellow card for diving instead. Boris Barrette hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A long shot from Roderick Grimm in the 4th minute of play was well struck, but Warner Brady made a really good save at the right post. Adam Shipp struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Warner Brady didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Niagara. After 8 played minutes Hussar got a freekick which was hit by Mike Grady. Adam Shipp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warner Brady was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roderick Grimm. Dexter Weston charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dexter Weston the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hussar's Dexter Weston got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Gil Diaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lawrence Lagueux hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Tommie Gougeon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jed Bragg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommie Gougeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jed Bragg in the 32nd minute of the match. Warner Brady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Forrest Guzman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommie Gougeon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gil Diaz in the 42nd minute of the match. If Forrest Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jed Bragg was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jed Bragg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Gougeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Shipp in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Warner Brady saved Hussar from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Niagara's goalkeeper Tommie Gougeon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Diaz. When Hussar's Jed Bragg in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Niagara's goalie prevented a goal. Tommie Gougeon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jed Bragg, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Adam Shipp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jed Bragg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Gougeon having to interfere. Tommie Gougeon was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jules Snow. Jed Bragg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes of play Hussar's Dexter Weston was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Hussar's Dexter Weston got a free kick in the 94th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Hussar's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Shipp came free, but Warner Brady reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
