The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Thaddeus Dick took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute Thaddeus Dick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommie Gougeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adam Shipp in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Will Kearney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sylvester Shoemaker kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rothesay FC's zone, Adam Shipp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Will Kearney came out of the goal and Adam Shipp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Grant Leonard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Grant Leonard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Thaddeus Dick notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Niagara's Tommie Gougeon. Tommie Gougeon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adam Shipp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Will Kearney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thaddeus Dick in the 34th minute of play forced Niagara's goalkeeper Tommie Gougeon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Leonard in the 37th minute of play forced Niagara's goalkeeper Tommie Gougeon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forrest Guzman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roderick Grimm charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roderick Grimm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Rothesay FC. Carey Blalock stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tommie Gougeon. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Forrest Guzman was the one to do the kick off. Forrest Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Adam Shipp came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Niagara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Shipp couldn't finish the play. Grant Leonard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th match minute, Rothesay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Mock to maneuver through the defense. Roderick Grimm, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Rothesay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Shipp came free, but Will Kearney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Thaddeus Dick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rothesay FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thaddeus Dick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommie Gougeon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lawrence Lagueux's late challenge caught a Rothesay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lawrence Lagueux helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rothesay FC booed when Niagara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lawrence Lagueux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommie Gougeon acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 99th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Carey Blalock. The Niagara fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rothesay FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
