In the 19th minute, Emmanuel Downey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Forrest Guzman in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bradford Spencer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrew Prescott came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tommie Gougeon could save by the left post. After having played for 34 minutes, Adam Shipp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niagara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Shipp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carroll Bonilla hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Andrew Prescott came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tommie Gougeon could save by the left post. In the 44th minute, Forrest Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Forrest Guzman in the 46th minute of play forced Stry FC's goalkeeper Bradford Spencer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Shipp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 50 minutes, Forrest Guzman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Niagara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Forrest Guzman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Forrest Guzman was the one to do the kick off. Adam Shipp scored 0-3 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bradford Spencer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Adam Shipp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Stry FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Micheal Elliot to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th match minute, Niagara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roderick Grimm to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Hétu in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommie Gougeon saved Niagara from getting behind. 78 minutes into the match, Stry FC's goalkeeper Bradford Spencer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Shipp. Forrest Guzman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Roderick Grimm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelley Fleming's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommie Gougeon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Felipe Hétu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Gougeon having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stry FC's Micheal Elliot got a free kick in the 98th minute.
