Spectators: 6745 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 0) Ripley's Karl Spivey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl Spivey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Frappier having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Karl Spivey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnoldo Frappier. Karl Spivey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Genaro Chang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lynn Ouellette came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnoldo Frappier could save by the left post. 18 minutes into the match, Ripley's goal looked a bit too open when Olivier Brower came free, but Tracey Tilley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tracey Tilley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Mazuret in the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Karl Spivey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Frappier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dogpound's Martin Mazuret in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ripley's goalie prevented a goal. Genaro Chang hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. A collision led to Dogpound getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Xavier Land hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Karl Spivey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnoldo Frappier was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Phil Rocher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucio Harrison hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Martin Mazuret notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ripley's Tracey Tilley. Tracey Tilley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnoldo Frappier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Spivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Olivier Brower made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ripley's goalkeeper Tracey Tilley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Mazuret. If Martin Mazuret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Frappier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lynn Ouellette in the 57th minute of the match. Martin Mazuret blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tracey Tilley having to make a save. Ripley's Tracey Tilley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Ripley from getting a goal against them. Phil Rocher made a great header on Dogpound's corner, it was just that Ripley's Tracey Tilley managed to reach the ball for a save. If Lynn Ouellette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lynn Ouellette struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Arnoldo Frappier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ripley. Arnoldo Frappier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lynn Ouellette in the 75th minute of play. Genaro Chang charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Genaro Chang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Dogpound booed when Ripley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Chang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnoldo Frappier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Spivey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Frappier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Spivey in the 96th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
