If Grant Leonard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alpha Pegasus's Moises Patenaude got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Alpha Pegasus's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Leonard came free, but Fernando Bass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Moises Patenaude in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Will Kearney saved Rothesay FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Rothesay FC's Will Kearney got control of the ball when Millard Campos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thaddeus Dick recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Will Kearney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Patenaude's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Moises Patenaude dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Will Kearney, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thaddeus Dick to make the kick off. When Thaddeus Dick came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Rothesay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thaddeus Dick couldn't finish the play. Alpha Pegasus's Fernando Bass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thaddeus Dick in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Millard Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alpha Pegasus's supporters rose to their feet, but Millard Campos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Will Kearney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Will Kearney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Patenaude went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Alpha Pegasus players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
