The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nigel James prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arthur Henry was extremely unlucky when he, in the 25th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 32 minutes into the match, Tadoussac AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Guy Rochon came free, but Philibert Margand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadoussac AFC's Philibert Margand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Choi in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cannington AFC's Mitchel Willard got a free kick in the 41st minute. When Daniel Archambault came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tadoussac AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Archambault couldn't finish the play. Arthur Henry's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Nigel James skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amos Phillips to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Amos Phillips notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cannington AFC's Nigel James. Nigel James was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amos Phillips's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nigel James read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Mitchel Willard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute of the match Daniel Archambault shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nigel James showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nigel James showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amos Phillips in the 70th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Cannington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Phillips came free, but Nigel James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tadoussac AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cannington AFC for a fine match.
