Son Hackett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Philibert Margand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Barton McCloud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes Cambridge got a freekick which was hit by Johnson Deschênes. Tadoussac AFC's Arthur Henry managed to work through Cambridge's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Arthur Henry dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 14th match minute, Cambridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnson Deschênes to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the game, Tadoussac AFC's Arthur Henry nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilbert Bellamy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Wilbert Bellamy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Henry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Cambridge getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dane Jimenez hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Son Hackett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arthur Henry in the 36th minute of play forced Cambridge's goalkeeper Wilbert Bellamy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilbert Bellamy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amos Phillips, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnson Deschênes got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Cambridge's Johnson Deschênes got a free kick in the 48th minute. If Arthur Henry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amos Phillips was the one to do the kick off. When Arthur Henry came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Tadoussac AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Henry couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Arthur Henry left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tadoussac AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Son Hackett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philibert Margand having to interfere. If Willian House had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barton McCloud hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Son Hackett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Son Hackett struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Philibert Margand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambridge. Son Hackett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Philibert Margand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cambridge booed when Tadoussac AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaétan Parks didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Son Hackett in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Philibert Margand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arthur Henry struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Wilbert Bellamy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tadoussac AFC. Amos Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbert Bellamy having to interfere. 90 minutes into the game, one of Cambridge:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tadoussac AFC's Philibert Margand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son Hackett in the 100th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tadoussac AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
