Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jérôme Johns kicked off to start the match. Claude Hays hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cambridge getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Johnson Deschênes hit a great ball. Carl Lanctot took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilbert Bellamy. Wilbert Bellamy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 21st minute, Johnson Deschênes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jérôme Johns fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbert Bellamy having to interfere. Wilbert Bellamy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérôme Johns, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Jérôme Johns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Jérôme Johns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilbert Bellamy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hampton's Carl Lanctot got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Son Hackett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cambridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Son Hackett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabien Martineau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Aviles in the 36th minute of the match. Anibal Parnell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabien Martineau. Hampton's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabien Martineau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Aviles in the 40th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Aviles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Valentin Aviles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fabien Martineau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Willian House shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Martineau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Hampton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Landis to maneuver through the defense. Fabien Martineau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Aviles in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hampton's Milford Koehler got a free kick in the 61st minute. Fabien Martineau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Son Hackett, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Cambridge's goalkeeper Wilbert Bellamy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Lanctot. If Jérôme Johns had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Lanctot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilbert Bellamy having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Cambridge got a freekick which was hit by Willian House. A collision led to Cambridge getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Willian House hit a great ball. When Carl Lanctot came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Hampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carl Lanctot couldn't finish the play. After having played for 92 minutes, Jérôme Johns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jérôme Johns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cambridge's Wilbert Bellamy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jérôme Johns in the 94th minute of play. Cambridge's Son Hackett got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hampton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
