They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

58 minutes into the match, Pocologan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Chang Leon came free, but Ambroise Dean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wally Todd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merle Blankenship in the 60th minute of play. If Chang Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pocologan AFC's Leopoldo Burrell got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Pocologan AFC's Ambroise Dean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennett Davies in the 64th minute of play. Yarmouth AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pocologan AFC the free kick. A collision led to Yarmouth AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Reinaldo Floyd hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Pocologan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Burrell. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yarmouth AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
