Clint Rhodes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 12 minutes, Guy Rochon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cannington AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guy Rochon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clint Rhodes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Rochon in the 16th minute of play. If Guy Rochon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Cannington AFC booed when Goodridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Holloway didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sébastien Gordon in the 25th minute of play forced Cannington AFC's goalkeeper Nigel James to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Choi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Clint Rhodes made a huge save. A collision led to Goodridge getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Arnold Walton hit a great ball. Garry Lamy hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Cannington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacques Holloway came free, but Nigel James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cannington AFC's Ricardo Choi has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sébastien Gordon in the 44th minute of play forced Cannington AFC's goalkeeper Nigel James to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Goodridge's Clint Rhodes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Rochon in the 52nd minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Cannington AFC's Guy Rochon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clint Rhodes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Guy Rochon struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Clint Rhodes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cannington AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guy Rochon in the 67th minute of play forced Goodridge's goalkeeper Clint Rhodes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porfirio Huot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Porfirio Huot fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Nigel James made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Sébastien Gordon sent off a good shot on target. Porfirio Huot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nigel James tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy Rochon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clint Rhodes having to interfere. A collision led to Goodridge getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Theirn Swan hit a great ball. Nigel James made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porfirio Huot in the 94th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Guy Rochon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clint Rhodes was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Goodridge players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cannington AFC.
