After a defensive mix-up in Goodridge's zone, Carl Lanctot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clint Rhodes came out of the goal and Carl Lanctot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Goodridge's Arnold Shaver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabien Martineau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Goodridge supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hampton's performance. The match ended with a win for Hampton.
