Spectators: 6752 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Duncan Malone started the match with the kick off. Clayton Kauffman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Fabien Martineau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duncan Malone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Michale Wesley fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hampton's protests and gave Michale Wesley a yellow card for diving instead. Michale Wesley hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Hampton's Fabien Martineau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Malone in the 7th minute of play. Benoit Laliberté made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Milford Koehler sent off a good shot on target. Duncan Malone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fabien Martineau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Demetrius Marquez took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fabien Martineau. Fabien Martineau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Demetrius Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Martineau having to interfere. Benoit Laliberté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jérôme Johns in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duncan Malone in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Martineau saved Hampton from getting behind. Fabien Martineau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Malone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jérôme Johns made a kick off. Duncan Malone hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Duncan Malone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Martineau having to interfere. Fabien Martineau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Malone, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Duncan Malone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Hampton's zone, Clayton Kauffman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabien Martineau came out of the goal and Clayton Kauffman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duncan Malone got free with Fabien Martineau in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute Jérôme Johns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benoit Laliberté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carl Lanctot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Walcott's Duncan Malone dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The Hampton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Walcott were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
