In the 13th minute of the match Pocologan AFC got a corner. Hampton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The crowd rose to their feet as Hampton's Jérôme Johns slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ambroise Dean. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. After 47 played minutes Pocologan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bruce Wolf. Carl Lanctot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jérôme Johns made a kick off. Ambroise Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jérôme Johns in the 53rd minute of play. Hampton's Carl Lanctot got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pocologan AFC's Bruce Wolf got a free kick in the 61st minute. Carl Lanctot might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ambroise Dean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Lanctot ran back to his position shaking his head. Seymour Horton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabien Martineau having to interfere. Fabien Martineau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Parenteau in the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jérôme Johns in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ambroise Dean saved Pocologan AFC from getting behind. Merle Blankenship received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Fabien Martineau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michale Wesley kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Dillon Parenteau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pocologan AFC's goalkeeper Ambroise Dean, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michale Wesley struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Ambroise Dean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hampton. Pocologan AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
