A very good chance. 11 minutes into the game, Gronlid AFC's Lorenzo Cuevas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Deserres made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Barry Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Deserres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Hughes in the 18th minute of the match. If Lorenzo Cuevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barry Hughes struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Harry Deserres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gronlid AFC. After some careless play in the Rosetown FC defense, Barry Hughes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harry Deserres. The Rosetown FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harry Deserres should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Rosetown FC's Roderick Cousteau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hal Reece narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Rosetown FC's Delmar Rock in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Gronlid AFC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nestor Hinson hit a great ball. Roderick Cousteau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Hal Reece tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Deserres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Cuevas, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute.

In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gronlid AFC's goalkeeper Hal Reece, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rosetown FC's Delmar Rock in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After recieving a nice pass, Gronlid AFC's Mohammed Gaines tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Roderick Cousteau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosetown FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roderick Cousteau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Reece breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delmar Rock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gronlid AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
