Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Samual Flint in the 3rd minute of play forced Meteghan FC's goalkeeper David Moss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Meteghan FC's goalkeeper David Moss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilton Byrd. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Hilton Byrd managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vermillion's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilton Byrd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Moss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norman Call in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roland Meier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Vermillion's Laurence Dyer got a free kick in the 17th minute. Norman Call recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Meteghan FC's goalkeeper David Moss had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hilton Byrd. In the 22nd minute Norman Call shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Meier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Samual Flint managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vermillion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samual Flint was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Moss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samual Flint's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. When Elroy Feldman came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Meteghan FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elroy Feldman couldn't finish the play. Elroy Feldman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Roland Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Meteghan FC's Tristan Monty got a free kick in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samual Flint in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Moss saved Meteghan FC from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norman Call to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Raymond Coupart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vermillion and the Meteghan FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Vermillion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond Coupart to maneuver through the defense. Norman Call sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Diego McNeil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Fausto Johnston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the match, Meteghan FC's Diego McNeil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Meier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Moss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hilton Byrd, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hilton Byrd scored 1-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Moss, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Samual Flint's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Moss was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the game, Tristan Monty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meteghan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vermillion the free kick. Tristan Monty hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th match minute, Vermillion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Dyer to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Meteghan FC got a freekick which was hit by Norman Call. Hilton Byrd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. David Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Hans Giroux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meteghan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vermillion the free kick. After 86 played minutes Meteghan FC got a freekick which was hit by Hans Giroux. Hilton Byrd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. David Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vermillion's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
