In the 6th minute of the match Cliff Lentz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Burt Benoit showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Burt Benoit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Rock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rosetown FC's zone, Thibault Draper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Deserres came out of the goal and Thibault Draper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Gene Shepard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitworth AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 19 played minutes Whitworth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dominique Hernandez. Rosetown FC's Delmar Rock got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harry Deserres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thibault Draper in the 26th minute of play. If Thibault Draper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes Whitworth AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tim Blank who took care of the corner kick. 41 minutes into the game, Géraud Parnell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitworth AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosetown FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Whitworth AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 41st minute. Penalty! Tim Blank placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmar Rock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Whitworth AFC's goalkeeper Burt Benoit had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roderick Cousteau. Rosetown FC's Harry Deserres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thibault Draper in the 74th minute of play. Harry Deserres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibault Draper in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Rosetown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Holloway to maneuver through the defense. If Delmar Rock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burt Benoit was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Roderick Cousteau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Roderick Cousteau really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roderick Cousteau in the 93rd minute of play forced Whitworth AFC's goalkeeper Burt Benoit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thibault Draper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rosetown FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
