Spectators: 6720 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Albert Beaulac took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hilton Byrd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 5 played minutes Vermillion got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Coupart. Roland Meier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Beaulac, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilton Byrd in the 14th minute of play forced Gaultois AFC's goalkeeper Anselme Chalifour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Cortez hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Vermillion's Fausto Johnston got a free kick in the 20th minute. Albert Beaulac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Meier having to interfere. Vermillion's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Thomas Cortez scored to the left of an out of position Roland Meier, making the score, 1-0. Thomas Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Cortez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Roland Meier firmly grabbed it by the left post. Albert Beaulac might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roland Meier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Beaulac ran back to his position shaking his head. Thomas Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Hilton Byrd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anselme Chalifour was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samual Flint to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Fausto Johnston was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vermillion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaultois AFC the free kick. The supporters of Gaultois AFC booed when Vermillion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Johnston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Cortez in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Gaultois AFC's Thomas Cortez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Meier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gaultois AFC's Anselme Chalifour proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Gaultois AFC from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Gaultois AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Samual Flint came free, but Anselme Chalifour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Thomas Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Meier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Samual Flint's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anselme Chalifour was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Anselme Chalifour stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samual Flint's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Vermillion's Roland Meier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Beaulac in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Thomas Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gaultois AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Cortez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roland Meier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Beaulac, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Roland Meier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dillon Ladner in the 95th minute of the match.
